Since 2003 Jay has been travelling the world developing his passion for sport and an active lifestyle. Jay dedicated his time to training as a Windsurf Instructor & working in exotic locations sharing his knowledge and love of the sport and ocean. In January 2009 Jay wanted to merge his passion for photography and an outdoors lifestyle and create inspiring video and photography content for the world's leading brands in sports & outdoor adventure lifestyle. This saw the birth of GlobalShots.
Jay’s hobby as a photographer is how it all began. It is down to his passion for adventure, love for the water and his unique personality which pushes him everyday to keep learning & creating.
When not behind the lens Jay can be found hunting for wind and waves for the next adventure, taking part in Ultra long 100km SUP events (he recently won a race which went 90km from the West coast to the East coast of Scotland) or he will be out and about with his camera in hand!
Water photography was, and still is his biggest passion as every time he shoots in the water it presents a unique set of challenges to overcome.
Bethany met Jay in 2009 and it didn’t take long for her to leave her London Production job to work at GlobalShots. Bethany is not your usual Filmmaker, she also edits and storyboards our projects. Bethany is in her element when out on location whether it be shooting amongst the action or seeing a story unfold. It is the buzz and energy on a shoot when everything comes together as well as the diverse crews she gets to work with that she loves - no day is ever the same. Bethany takes on any filmmaking challenge whether it be hiking up mountains, hanging out of helicopters and riding on the back of motorbikes to get the shots.
When she’s not planning the next project you can find her with her sketchbook and paints, windsurfing or surfing at one of her favourite South Coast spots, running with her dog or hiking up a mountain with her skis.
