Game, set and shoot!

With Red Bull recently publishing an article on the ‘7 most inspiring places to watch football’, GlobalShots couldn’t help but reminisce about a certain sporting venue that we shot at in April. Although the venue involved a much smaller ball and considerably fewer players, the idyllic location proved just as inspiring as any of the stadiums mentioned and left our creative producer, Bethany Mercer, feeling lucky to have the opportunity to shoot at such a magnificent location.

World class tennis players, glamorous spectators and the Cote D’Azur sea as a backdrop provides the perfect location for watching a spot of seriously good tennis and whilst the players and fans couldn’t take their eyes off the ball, Bethany’s eyes were focussing behind the lens as she spent two days filming the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters on behalf of Maui Jim eyewear.

As the Official Eyewear Supplier of the ATP World Tour, it was a great opportunity for GlobalShots to capture Maui Jim’s onsite presence as they engaged with fans and helped protect peoples eyes from the Mediterranean sun, whilst providing more vibrant colours of the world. 

World class tennis player, sporting champion and Maui Jim brand ambassador, Philipp Kohlschreiber, also took the time to catch up with Bethany in Monte Carlo to talk about the wonderful tournament and the accompanying weather.
